Emeritus professor

We are currently focusing on these issues in our research:

  • How is dark personality (e.g. narcissism, psychopathy) related to ideology (e.g., left-wing authoritarianism, right-wing authoritarianism, anti-Semitism) and political activism (e.g., environmental activism)?
  • Can institutions of the educational system develop into authoritarian islands within democratic societies?
  • What conditions of interaction make people questioning conspiracy theories?
  • How does a toy-free kindergarten affect the socio-emotional development of children?
  • Under what conditions is higher test anxiety (not) associated with lower cognitive or perceptual-motor performance?
  • Can the regulation of negative affect such as test anxiety and jealousy efficiently be improved by inquiry interventions?
  • How is the mental schema of vitality (i.e., self-perceived energy availability for self-regulatory actions) associated with the willingness to exert mental effort?
  • Are there any other useful psychometric scales that we can adapt into German?

The relevant publications can be found on the individual pages under the Team tab.

Since this web page is for our (potential) students, it is in German.
