From the Blackboard to the Cloud: Resilience and Digital Skills for Teachers (ReDi)

The ongoing digital transformation is reshaping the world of work – including schools. New information and communication technologies (ICTs) offer opportunities for innovative teaching and professional development but are also associated with increased workload and pace of work. In Switzerland, many teachers already show signs of psychological strain, which has a negative impact on long-term career retention (Kunz, 2017; Sandmeier et al., 2022). 

This project addresses this challenge through two sub-projects aimed at strengthening the individual and organizational resources of teachers. It targets both early-career and senior teachers, with the overarching goal of using digital technologies to support their mental health and increase job satisfaction, thereby countering the ongoing teacher shortage.
